Privacy Policy

The short version

• There is no account. We never ask for your name or email to use the app.
• Your screenshots, edits and library stay on your Mac. We never upload them and we cannot see them.
• ShotBloom has no analytics, no ads and no tracking.
• If you buy ShotBloom Pro, Apple handles the payment and RevenueCat checks the purchase using an anonymous ID.

Who we are

ShotBloom is made by Dovud Husanov ("we", "us"). If you have a question about this policy or your data, email dovud.husan@gmail.com.

What stays on your Mac

ShotBloom works on your Mac. The following is created and stored only on your device, and is never sent to us:

• Screenshots and images you capture or add, saved to the Pictures/ShotBloom folder.
• Your edits, such as arrows, text, blur, redaction and backgrounds, and a backup of the original image so you can change them later.
• Your library: favorites, trash and search.
• Your settings, such as shortcuts and what happens after a capture.
• A free-use counter. Blur, Highlight and Redact are free on your first two screenshots. To keep this fair, ShotBloom stores a small counter in your Mac's Keychain. It contains no personal information and may stay on your Mac after you delete the app.

Screen Recording permission. macOS asks every screenshot app for this permission. ShotBloom only captures your screen when you press a capture shortcut or click a capture button.

Text recognition. Click-to-redact finds words in your screenshot using Apple's Vision framework, which runs entirely on your Mac.

Clipboard. ShotBloom copies screenshots to your clipboard when you capture or click Copy, and reads images from it only when you paste one into the app.

Purchases

ShotBloom Pro is sold through the Mac App Store. Apple processes the payment. We never receive your name, email, card or other payment details. Apple's handling of your data is described in the Apple Privacy Policy.

We use RevenueCat to check whether you have ShotBloom Pro. When the app starts or you buy or restore a purchase, RevenueCat receives a random, anonymous ID created by the app, your purchase history from the App Store and basic technical details needed to validate it, such as the app version, the macOS version and your App Store country. This information is not linked to your identity and is not used for tracking or advertising. See the RevenueCat Privacy Policy.

What we don't collect

• Your screenshots or anything you capture
• Your name, email address or phone number (unless you email us)
• Your location, contacts, photos or files
• Usage analytics, advertising identifiers or crash reports sent to us

When you contact us

If you email us, we use your email address and message only to reply and help you. We keep the conversation only as long as we need it for support.

The shotbloom.app website

The website is hosted by Cloudflare. To deliver and protect the site, Cloudflare processes technical details of each visit, such as your IP address and browser type, and may keep short-term logs. The website does not use cookies for analytics or advertising and does not track you. See the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.

Sharing and selling

We do not sell, rent or share your personal information. The only service providers involved are Apple, RevenueCat and Cloudflare, for the purposes described above.

How long data is kept

• Data on your Mac stays until you delete it, for example by emptying ShotBloom's Trash, deleting the Pictures/ShotBloom folder or removing the app.
• RevenueCat keeps purchase records as long as needed to validate your purchases and meet legal requirements.
• Support emails are kept only as long as needed to help you.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, including the EU, the UK and California, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information and to object to its use. Because ShotBloom does not collect personal information about you, there is usually nothing for us to return or delete. To make a request, email dovud.husan@gmail.com. You can remove everything the app stores on your Mac by deleting the app and your Pictures/ShotBloom folder.

Children

ShotBloom is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Security

Your screenshots never leave your Mac through ShotBloom, which is the strongest protection we can offer. Purchase checks with RevenueCat and visits to the website use encrypted HTTPS connections.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update it on this page and change the date at the top. Important changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
